Many thanks to the several thousand language educators and policy makers who tuned in to the National Language Policy Summit on January 10-11, 2005. Our first national event during 2005: The Year of Languages was a great success! We express our gratitude to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Dean of Education Thomas James for hosting the event. We also want to thank our on-site participants as well as our viewers for their interest and enthusiasm for this topic.
